Kukui is one of the trees that raised me, and I hold her very close to my heart. Here in Hawai'i, its nuts can be burned for light, or they are used to make an oil that is used for lamps, as well as nourishing the skin and hair. As children, we used the nuts to make spinning tops - I love trees that make a point to play with children.

This flower's medicine connects us with past and future generations of our lineage as well. When working with Kukui, you may find yourself connecting with the practices and places of your ancestors, even on "accident".
