Magickal Teas: Getting Down with Hot Leaf Water

Loose leaf herbs are your friend! As a self-proclaimed tea slut and general fan of mindset modification, I truly believe in the power of hot leaf water to make shift happen throughout your day. If you do not do so already, I highly recommend expanding your collection of herbs and teas to include loose leaf dried herbs (without the tea bag). Not only is this a more sustainable and economical approach, but you also get to put things in tiny cute jars with little labels on them — and we all know how important that is.

Here are a couple of my favorite tea blends and underrated suggestions...

Pre-Ritual Tea

This simple duo is my favorite thing to make before any ritual, working, or reading.

  • Thyme - Thyme has very energizing properties when used in a tea, and is used in some traditions to gather energy before exerting oneself on a focused task. This was thought to maintain the purity of the task.
  • Chamomile - Chamomile calms the nerves, helping you to move energy with focus and precision. No, it won't make you sleepy.

Morning Moringa

This blend is very energizing and rich in phytonutrients. I tend to go for this blend when I have an active day ahead of me, but do not wish to have any caffeine.

  • Moringa leaves
  • Cinnamon stick(s)

The Horny Psychic

This blend was intuitively formulated for the uplifting, intuition-enhancing, and love-making properties of each plant. This is my most adored tea blend to date!

  • Uva Ursi
  • Tulsi
  • Rose petals
  • Damiana
  • Frankincense
  • Cinnamon stick(s)

*Note: This tea can also be added to champagne for a nice herbal cocktail if you want to pretend you’re a grown-up or a fancy lady person.
